About Me

I have been counseling and coaching in varied settings since 2004 having always loved connecting with and helping others. While I don’t believe it’s always possible to determine an absolute turning point or transformation, 2020 began a pivotal discovery for me in defining my authentic self. It’s the year I began to love and accept myself in ways I never thought possible. I now take a much more open-minded and inclusive approach to life AND coaching others.

For the majority of my life, I struggled with always wanting to be the peacemaker, finding it hard to say no, and often not making my true needs, desires and feelings known to others or even myself. This manifested in anxiety, second-guessing my decisions (or making them at all), and presenting myself one way to the world but feeling very different on the inside.

I used to resonate with wanting to be the BEST version of myself…and now, I love being the ever-evolving me with relatively little judgment (more reflection)...enjoying the process of becoming a BETTER version of myself as I grow. All in all, I accept and appreciate what makes me unique...knowing I am exactly where I should be in my journey.

This experience (alongside my studies) challenged me to assemble effective tools, modalities and processes. These, combined with one-on-one coaching, allow us to tailor the coaching relationship and process to help you connect, honor and thrive as your authentic self.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselor Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with minors in Sociology and Women's Studies from The Ohio State University.

Certificates

Health Coach

Personal Trainer

Mind & Body Coach (weight management)

Specialization

Just as different paths can lead to the same destination, I encourage my clients to use the modalities and tools that speak to them. During our consultation, we can determine if some of the methods that resonate most with me match or overlap with you and incorporate others you may be contemplating.

Personal

In 2020, my kids and I became Partners in Learning (PINs) as we started and continue to homeschool/unschool. This new experience has become one of the biggest joys in my life and was completely (I can't stress this enough) unexpected.

Why a Free Consult?

In my experience, the only way to find out if something will "work" for you is to give it a try. Take advantage of a free consultation so we can get to know one another a bit and go from there. I always appreciate hearing someone's voice and breaking down the mystery of whether or not we might align. For many of us (I include myself), this may be the most difficult (and necessary) step. Let's chat!
